Here on this page we are continuously updating our opera events in 2025. It is a living process, and we will share more details as they become available.

In 2025, we will offer both outdoor and indoor free events, and we offer combinations where you get a great musical experience while you can have wine and eat delicious food made from the best local ingredients.
Axeltorv - Nakskov Classic
A sweeping opera concert right where it all started, namely at Axeltorv in Nakskov.
A cavalcade of arias and duets selected and presented by the singers themselves and mixed with high spirits.
Free admission.

A dazzling musical experience where Carina and Teit give us intimacy and presence, but also the great emotions that opera and the close contact in space can bring to us.
All accompanied by the brilliant Ensemble Storstrøm.
When you add a wonderful dinner, good wines and beautiful surroundings, it becomes an unforgettable Saturday evening.

Koppel & Son sings The Great Masters
You'll never get bored in the company of Koppel & Søn – Thomas and Jonathan.
They have performed together countless times and are so in tune that they playfully and smoothly take us through this cavalcade of the Great Masters.
There will be music by:
Ravel, Satie, Lacalle Garcia, Scarlatti, Handel, Schubert, Schumann, Chopin, Lehár, Puccini, Bach, Rodrigo, Tschaikovsky, Halévy, Rossini, Rota, Koppel, Beethoven, Strauss (several of them), Grieg, Vivaldi and others.
It will really be a party where we will travel far and wide and in really good company.

Madame Butterfly
Who hasn't heard the poignant and sad story of Madame Butterfly?
The young Japanese woman who was seduced by the American Captain Pinkerton and then endured so much.
A fantastic drama about love, betrayal, self-sacrifice, life and death. It could hardly get more dramatic.
On the other hand, the music and songs are legendary, and the setting is beautifully set in Pederstrup.
Certain minor passages are omitted, but we are helped well through them too.
The performance doesn't start until 7:00 PM, so there's time for a packed lunch in the park beforehand.

Verdi by the fjord
Verdi was the biggest idol in Italy at the time.
When he died, there was national mourning, and his importance to Italian self-understanding and music cannot be overestimated.
In this concert we pay tribute to Verdi and his life as a composer of magnificent works, arias and duets.

Seduction of Saint Nicolai
The theme concert in Sankt Nikolai Church in Nakskov has become known as the festival's fantastic closing performance.
Once again this year, opera dramaturge Jørgen Hansen has put together a brilliant and varied program. This year, the theme is seduction, and it will be amazing and educational.
The songs are performed by Signe Sneh Durholm (for the first time at Lolland Operafestival) and Teit Kanstrup (recurring at Lolland Operafestival), and they have been promised Denmark's best audience.
Ensemble Storstrøm is responsible for both the beautiful accompaniments and several instrumental numbers.
It's always sad to end something good, but there's no better way to end the Lolland Opera Festival than this concert.
